CENTRE MUSIC STUDENTS SWEEP STATE MUSIC FESTIVAL IN HESSTON! All four music students representing Centre earned a 1st Division Rating on their solos this morning. Outstanding performances tonight by the Centre P-5 students at their spring concert. Great job students and instructor Amy Harms. Centre is so blessed to still have a music teacher as checking on the Kansas teacher website, there are 46 schools looking for music teachers. Amy is one of the best.

Today is Administrative Assistant Day and I would like to recognize five of the best I've ever work with. Special thanks to Francie Mueller who has been with the district for 32 years, Sheri Stahlacker - 30 years, Terry Klenda - 24 years, Terri Bina- 12 years and Marianne Kohman- 9 years. This five ladies have served the Centre District for a combined 107 years! Words cannot describe how their dedication to our district helps make Centre a great place to learn and work . Congratulations to the Centre Junior Class on your outstanding work on prom this year. The decorations were great as was the meal Mr. Steinert did a great job presenting his talk on setting goals and the program was well planned. The servers did a great job taking care of everyone. April 23, 2024 Dear Stacey Parks, Congratulations, USD D0397 has been assigned a Meets Requirements level of determination (LOD) through the IDEA State Performance Plan (SPP) Report for FFY 2022. “Meets Requirements” is the highest status level for district IDEA LOD. The district earned this LOD through its compliance on all SPP compliance indicators, the timely submission of accurate data, IDEA-related single audit findings, IDEA findings from file review, complaint, and due process hearing findings. As a result of the district’s Meets Requirements LOD for FFY 2022, USD D0397 is eligible for several fiscal and program rewards, which are listed in the district’s Kansas APR Expanded Report. Hello Everyone! We wanted to invite your family to our Annual PAT Zoo Trip on May 18th at the Sedgwick County Zoo in Wichita. This is such a fun & affordable way for families to enjoy the Zoo together! Here are a few things to keep in mind… · We will have a PAT table out in front of the ZOO entrance, and we will check you in there. You will pay for your group at the table, and it will be helpful if everyone is together at that time. · The cost for anyone ages 3 years old and up is $5.00 · Children ages 2 years old and under are free! · We can ONLY take CASH at the table! We will not have a way to do debit/credit cards at this time · Families can bring in their own food and strollers and wagons are welcome! Congratulations to Vada Cobb for winning the Great Plains Theater “Dragons Love Tacos” coloring contest. Vada was selected as the winner in the contest and awarded a movie party for herself and twenty friends. The contest had over 500 entries. Awesome job Vada!

This is just a reminder that Centre will have school all day tomorrow, Wednesday, April 17th. This is a change on the original school calendar. We will have an early release day on Wednesday, May 1st. Students will be released that day at 12:40 so our teachers can attend professional development that afternoon.

Congratulations to the Centre Music Department on their outstanding performances at the KSHSAA Regional Music Festival at Tabor College today. Students receiving a 1 or superior rating were: Leah Brunner and Addison Bina on their vocal solos; Daniel Rziha on his Baritone Sax solo; Anna Godiana-Vindusk on her flute solo. Student receiving a 2nd division rating or excellent rating were Daniel Rziha- vocal solo; the vocal quartet, Allie Stuchlick - flute solo; and Kaydence Lopez-Herrera-snare drum solo. Students earning a first division rating will move onto the KSHSAA State Music Festival in Hesston on April 27th. Centre music students are coached by Amy Harms. Cougar proud of all that competed today and best of luck at State!
