Today we said goodbye to several staff members at Centre who have been a positive influence on our students. Mary Miller taught business classes and also ran the PERK over the last five years. Mary has retired from teaching and has accepted a payroll officer position in Wichita, which will be much closer to her home in Andover. Megan Wheeler has served as our Special Education Teacher at the junior high level for the past two years and is being transferred to Marion Elementary next year. Katelynn Hagemann has served as our Special Education Social Worker for the last three years and will be working for Prairie View Mental Health as a social worker beginning next year. Mary Havel took over the 9-12 English Language Arts teacher the last two years and will be spending more time with her family. We are very thankful for the time and dedication they have given our students. We wish them the best in their future endeavors.
We want to congratulate one of our members Allie Stuchlik! She was named a State Finalist in Plant Systems Division 5 of her Agriscience Research project! She will find out her final results at State Convention here in late May! Way to go Allie!
