Centre will have a two-hour delayed start tomorrow morning because of the extremely cold wind chill temperatures forecast. Classes will begin at 10:00 AM. Evening activities will run as scheduled.

Families with children participating in the Little Cougar Cheer Performance tonight need to have their child at the game by 7:15pm. They need to wear their cheer shirt, black leggings or black shorts, bow, and tennis shoes. Thank you and see you all tonight!

Yesterday, Centre Freshman Derrick Harms competed at the Newton Boys Swim Invitational against 3A to 6A schools. Derrick had a personal record in the 50 freestyle with a time of 31.66 and competed in the 100 breaststroke for the 1st time in his swimming career. Derrick is the first male student to swim under Centre High School. He will head to Salina on Thursday for another swim meet.

The Centre Spelling Bee will take place on Wednesday, January 22, starting at 12:15. It will take place in the Main Gym.
Centre will also be hosting the Marion County Spelling Bee on Tuesday, February 11. This will start at 10:00 and be in the Main Gym.

Good evening. The additional snow is making our roads extremely slick, so I have decided to call school at Centre off for tomorrow, Friday, January 10th. Please be safe and we will try again on Monday. All activities are cancelled as well, and the Cougar Cubs Day Care will be closed as well.

If you do not feel comfortable sending your student to school, please contact their driver or call the school and their absence will be excused. If you feel your student cannot get to their regular bus pick-up, please let the driver know. Also, the JH basketball game scheduled for Thursday night will be rescheduled. Please be careful.

The high school basketball games that were scheduled for tonight have been rescheduled for Tuesday, January 28 at Solomon.
Due to continuing unsafe road conditions in our district, Centre, USD 397 will not have school on Wednesday, January 8th. Cougar Cubs Daycare will also be closed. All activities are also cancelled for the day.
